Member Relations Specialist
Non-Exempt, Part-time, 25-29 Hours/Week
The Member Relations Specialist reports to the Chamber president and is a point person for contacting potential and existing members and fulfilling the Chamber’s Member Relations program. Key responsibilities include completing regular member outreach as part of the member communications plan, reducing member turnover, collecting member dues, and contacting/meeting potential members to help them join the Chamber. Additional frontline support includes telephone answering, reception, mail processing, and payment intake/processing. The Specialist also manages and promotes member discount programs, acts as committee liaison to assigned committees, and provides event support as required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Member Relations Coordination
· Provide customer support to new and existing members
· Conduct regular member visits, calls, and communications
· Communicate benefits and services to potential and existing members
· Follow up on membership leads and assist potential members in joining the Chamber
· Conduct member surveys as required
· Track and report on member participation in events
· Create and send communication forms and letters
· Track and communicate benefits available to and used by members
· Complete new member processing and onboarding
Member Renewals
· Pre-invoice contacting
· Past dues contacting and collection
· Collections tracking
Frontline Communication
· Telephone answering
· Reception
· Mail processing (in/out)
Payment Intake/Processing
· Payment recording
· Credit card payment processing
· Deposits
Committee Responsibilities
· Serve as the Chamber liaison to assigned committees
· Report and distribute monthly committee meeting minutes as required
· Coordinate committee correspondence
· Process new member applications and ensure member information is added to committee rosters
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
· Two years experience in a professional business office performing customer service functions
· Exceptional customer service skills
· Experienced in Microsoft Office software
· Experienced using Apple/Mac computer operating system
· Detail oriented
· Strong work ethic
· Demonstrated communications skills
· Positive attitude and team mentality
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Five plus years experience in a professional business office performing customer service functions
· 2 year business degree
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 29 per week
