Job Description:
We are seeking an entry-level Marketing Coordinator with one to three years of experience, including internships, to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to grow in the field of marketing, with a focus on senior living. The Marketing Coordinator will be instrumental in crafting and disseminating our brand story and should be comfortable with technology and enthusiastic about learning new skills.

Responsibilities:
- Blog Management: Write and manage blog content, ensuring alignment with our brand values. Experience with CMS like WordPress is preferred.
- Social Media Management: Support in managing social media platforms and content creation. Prior experience in social media community management is advantageous.
- Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks, including supporting the onboarding and training of community marketing and sales directors.
- Customer Service: Regularly communicate with communities, fielding requests, and providing support, requiring strong customer service skills.
- Brand Advocacy: Provide support to the team in communication strategies that highlight our mission to create a safe, caring environment where both residents and team members thrive.
- Internal Communication: Maintain effective internal communications to ensure that staff at all levels are informed and engaged with our mission and values.
- Event Promotion: Promote and publicize events and programs that foster joy, companionship, and community among our residents.
- Media Relations: Manage media inquiries and cultivate relationships with journalists to secure positive coverage for Sonida Senior Living.
- Digital Marketing: Provide support to the team in various digital marketing efforts, including social media management, email campaigns, and website content updates.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience, internships included, in a related field.
- Canva experience preferred.
- Familiarity with CMS like WordPress or a quick learner in technology.
- Working knowledge of MS Office; photo and video-editing software is an asset
- Experience in social media management and content creation.
Skill/ knowledge requirements:
- Proficient writing skills and willingness to provide writing samples.
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills
- Outstanding organizational and planning abilities
