Capital One, a Fortune Magazine “100 Best Companies to Work For,” is seeking an innovative Senior Marketing Associate to collaborate on our affiliate growth strategy for Business Cards and Payments (BC&P). BC&P is building on its past successes to develop an industry-leading business credit card program for small to medium-sized businesses. This role will play a critical role in our growth strategy, focused on driving awareness, impressions, and acquiring new customers via affiliate sites. The associate will partner regularly with team members as well as other verticals across Business Card, Consumer Card, product, brand, and more. This role requires a mix of channel marketing expertise, comprehensive knowledge of our product portfolio, and affiliate and content marketing experience.
As an expert in affiliate marketing, the senior associate will be responsible for taking our affiliate marketing program to the next level while delivering high-impact, bottom-line business growth. The Sr. Marketing Associate role is accountable for testing claims, creative, and additional marketing placements with affiliates and developing a long-term strategy. They will work with both internal and external partners to align on and implement intent, and will be responsible for briefing, understanding results, and developing insights to feed into future strategies. Excellent communication and project management skills will be key to success.
Key responsibilities are to:
Drive impressions and conversions via execution of marketing campaigns and testing of claims, content, and creative with affiliate sites
Participate as the brand and marketing strategy lead in a collaborative cross-functional team (Business, Compliance, Legal, Brand Marketing, Product, Analytics, Operations, external partners, etc.) to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership
Champion the brand, ensuring that all representation of our products (claims, imagery, card, etc.) are in line with their respective voice and style guides
Develop an understanding of our target audience, best practices across channels and programs, and share those learnings liberally with others
Monitor competitor affiliate marketing trends to identify opportunities for investment and improvement
Have excellent communication skills to manage, inform and influence outcomes. This involves the ability to build presentation materials and cohesive documentation that have equal impact when read as standalone or shared in a meeting environment
“Self-starter”, strong organizational skills, ownership mentality, ability to prioritize workloads, and ability to work across functions in a well-managed and organized manner
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
At least 2 years of marketing experience
At least 2 years of experience developing and implementing marketing tests
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Marketing, Business or Communications
3+ years of marketing experience
3+ years of experience creating marketing strategies and optimization plans

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
New York City (Hybrid On-Site): $99,500 - $113,600 for Sr. Associate, MarketingCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
