Job Summary:
Responsible for leveraging primary and secondary research analysis as well as applying national trends to the Market Research process to drive a holistic view of the member experience within the context of the organizational strategic objectives. Designs and implements primary and secondary research activities, and develops actionable insights in direct support of a member-centric product development and strategic decision-making process, and unparalleled member experience.
Job Duties:
- Responsible for determining data and planning needs by communicating with medical directors, administrators, analysts, and personnel at all levels throughout the health plan.
- Identifies issues and formulates hypotheses; provides recommendations.
- Extracts data, analyzes and forms conclusions based on analysis and secondary research.
- Synthesizes conclusions into written recommendations to drive informed decision-making and implement changes.
- Designs and executes primary research activities, including both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.
- Methods used will include online surveys and community panels, social media, digital survey, as well as traditional primary research methods.
- Leverages and manages contracted third-party research resources as appropriate to maximize efficiencies and meet timeline requirements.
- Designs and executes secondary research and competitive intelligence, including online research regarding healthcare market conditions and trends, and local market conditions and trends.
- Responsible for distilling data and information into succinct presentation documents, and building maps and graphs.
- Responsible for presenting informative reports and recommendations to administrators and various internal and external audiences.
- Understands the process flow of the sales and marketing and underwriting process and recommends changes to data capture and metrics used to describe potential and actual sales.
- Provides staff support for market analysis at both corporate and regional planning levels.
- Analyzes and interprets market data, recognizes changes in market conditions and presents findings to mid-management and senior managementConducts an ongoing evaluation to determine the appropriateness of routine statistical information gathered in relation to the changing environment.
- Provides on-going maintenance to database according to current requirements.
