Job Title: Secondary Research Analyst
Preferred location : Remote based position or HQ in Reading, PA
Reports to : Melissa Crampsie – VP of Oncology
Classification: Exempt/Salaried
Job Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented, self-motivated and extremely organized individual with excellent problem-solving skills who understands the importance of teamwork and accuracy. Must have strong Microsoft office suite knowledge and skills specially in word, excel and powerpoint. Specific requirements will include:
- Day-to-day, comprehensive monitoring of global industry, regulatory, financial, clinical and social media sites/feeds using a variety of Secondary Research resources.
- Extensive use of many databases including clinical (TrialTrove, Pharmaprojects, Biopharm Insight, etc.), financial and/or commercial sites (Call Street, StreetAccount, Thomson One, etc.) and a full knowledge of their capabilities.
- News monitoring (global): capture the latest breaking news as closely as possible to when it happens.
- Social media monitoring (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.)
- Setting of alerts in many resources as well as on Google and company websites
- Project team assignments that involve diversified therapy areas and medical device types
- Collaborating with team members and helping with ad hoc research requests involving in-depth searches for information
- Reviewing and highlighting of transcripts and slide presentations by leading pharmaceutical and medical device firms focusing on items of interest to specific project needs
- Client teleconference attendance for kickoff meetings and project update meetings
- Provide clients with timely, coherent, and accurate research support.
- Conduct Secondary Research, assist with database search strategies, and perform fundamental data analysis.
- Apply knowledge of the regulatory process, pharmaceutical drug development, and clinical trials to provide the highest quality support to clients.
- Support team during absences
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Prior school or working experience in life science industry
- Advanced Microsoft skills specifically word, excel and powerpoint is a must.
