GENERAL FUNCTION

The Manager Indirect Procurement is responsible for the development and implementation of the North America (Trade Marketing) Indirect Procurement strategies, which consists of in store print, marketing materials, displays, with other 3-dimensional promotional product. This individual will focus on sourcing activities, and program alignment with global/regional objectives. They will focus on continuous process and system improvements, while providing exceptional customer service and cost savings in alignment with Corporate initiatives.

Effective performers will stay current on developments related to their respective field, actively pursue knowledge, familiarize themselves with design development, and use information to accurately make timely decisions. This individual will also contribute to the decision-making process by logically presenting ideas to decision makers. This position has a large focus on Trade Marketing.

 MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategy development - including strategy coordination for Trade Marketing, POP, Fixture procurement and management.
  • Category Management - which includes policy management, updating, identifying, and recommending demand management programs, internal communications of category initiatives and reporting of results.
  • Strives to meet several department KPIs, including, but not limited to, cost savings, customer satisfaction, and spend under management.
  • Contract Negotiation and Implementation
  • Supplier Management and continuous evaluation/assessment of supplier performance, ensuring consistency of service, quality and compliance to contracts and established service level agreements.
  • Analyze financial reports for determining status and action for programs managed.
  • Monitoring categories spend and continuously evaluating options to reduce total cost of ownership.
  • Benchmarking of internal and external costs against industry and competitive standards
  • Build strategic supplier relationships.
  • Work cross functionally with regional/global teams.
  • Ability to interface with all levels of management in all regions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in purchasing, finance, or applicable technical degree
  • 5+ years' experience Trade Marketing, POP, Fixture procurement and management
  • Proficiency in SAP
  • Strong understanding of Procurement processes and procedures and Business principles
  • Knowledge of Accounting & Finance principles
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Proven experience in purchasing
  • Solid negotiation skills
  • Ability to lead and take initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills; both written and oral
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Visual Merchandising / Trade Marketing production experience
  • Experience in a Retail based environment.

 PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in Direct Sourcing is a plus.

Pay Range: 83,932.93  - 125109.97 

 

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package.
