GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Manager, Enterprise Risk Management - Treasury will be responsible for establishing the 2nd line of defense for
HCA's Treasury department. This person will be responsible for monitoring and enhancing the Risk Management
practices and controls within the Treasury function. As the 2nd line of defense, this person will work closely with HCA's
Treasury Department to ensure that Treasury activities align with HCA's risk tolerance and Enterprise Risk Management
framework.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develop Risk Monitoring & Assessment:
Collaborate with Treasury department to develop and maintain Treasury guidelines and metrics that align with industry best practice.
Evaluate the effectiveness of the 1st line of defense controls in managing financial risks and compliance with established policies and
procedures.
Monitor and assess Treasury activities to identify and mitigate risks in cash management, ALM, liquidity, investment, and financing strategies.
2. Risk Reporting:
Prepare reports to provide an overview of Treasury risk and their impact on the organization.
Highlight potential risk areas and evaluate actions to mitigate those risks.
Monitor market movements/expectations and risk measures to quantify balance sheet and financial impact.
Contribute to ad-hoc analysis, benchmarking, and reporting for meetings with internal and external stakeholders and report results in Risk Controls Committee (RCC).
Report on hedging strategies for HCA's balance sheet.
3. Stress Testing & Scenario Analysis:
Conduct stress tests and scenario analysis to assess Treasury's resilience to different market conditions and economic events.
Work with the Treasury to develop strategies for managing risks identified in stress testing exercises.
4. Governance, Oversight, Model Development:
Provide oversight and monitor funds transfer pricing for new business growth, origination pricing, business planning and profitability
management, manage pricing communication cross related functions.
Develop Treasury Risk Models for necessary reporting and collaboratewith Model Governance to complete any associated documentation.
5. Perform all other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Knowledge of fixed income, option, financial derivative, economics, corporate finance and banking, statistics,
mathematics, optimization, etc.
Experience in treasury Risk Management, risk analysis, or a similar role within a financial institution
Advanced skill in MS Office, SQL, VBA.
Proficient in Bloomberg, R, SAS, preferred.
Experience with ALM systems (KRM, QRM, etc.) preferred.
Strong analytical and research skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a highly time-sensitive, dynamic, and growing environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong team mentality, organizational and multi-tasking skills, work ethic and dedication to excellence.
- 7 years of directly related working experience required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or Statistics required.
Master's degree in Financial Engineering or Economics preferred.
Physical Requirements and Working Condition:
Employees in this class are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing and walking, vision to monitor and moderate noise levels. Work is performed in an office environment.
