Your Role and Responsibilities
Need to support the Japanese Banks in NY as a Technology Seller. The mission of a Technology Seller is to drive the Technology strategy with customers, focused around winning the platform and translating customer needs. Will need to serve as the customer's strategic advisor to translate the customer's requirements into the right cross-Technology architecture, in context of use cases and critical technology decision points, to generate opportunity identification, OI, and drive revenue growth.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
1. Generating account plans and determining areas for IBM Technology revenue growth by engaging support of all IBM roles and partners, including Global System Integrators, Independent Software Vendor, and competitive landscape
2. Being curious about your client’s business and industry, spending a significant amount of time researching your client, the industry, competitors and relevant technology
3. Growing trusted relationships with the client through visibility and being present with them frequently
4. Manage, coordinate and leverage Partner ecosystem resources, if applicable, to drive business value for the client
5. Leading the IBM and Ecosystem team through the end-to-end sales process to progress and close opportunities with a competitive mindset
6. Identifying, assessing and closing new business opportunities across portfolio for assigned accounts
7. Developing and progressing pipeline in prioritized specialty area and across portfolio to grow existing accounts
8. Prospecting and generating strategic opportunities while balancing long-term and short-term opportunities
9. Successfully managing client support teams for mapped accounts to support renewals and expansion
10. Positioning the value of IBM’s technology portfolio in enabling client strategy versus the competition

Location StatementIBM offers a competitive benefits program which may include medical & prescription drug coverage, dental, vision, mental health & well being, 8 paid holidays, minimum 56 hours paid sick time, 80 hours paid vacation, life insurance, 401(k), financial counseling, and the IBM Employee Stock Purchase Plan. IBM offers paid family medical leave and disability benefits to eligible employees where required by applicable law. The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year. This position was posted on the date cited in the key job details section and is anticipated to remain posted for 21 days from this date or less if not needed to fill the role. This position is eligible for participation in an IBM Sales Incentive plan. Actual incentive opportunity will be based on performance and the eligible Target Incentive, as addressed in the applicable plan, all of which is subject to change. The compensation range listed for this position is the IBM Reference Salary that is used when you are not actively participating in a sales plan. Your actual base pay plus incentive opportunity will be determined by the Incentive Plan assigned to you. We consider qualified applicants with criminal histories, consistent with applicable law.
