SUMMARY:
The Logistics Coordinator provides comprehensive support for the North American Logistics Manager and coverage for Logistics while Manager is out. This includes assisting in 3PL and 4PL programs, ensuring international Customs regulations are strictly followed, and aligning logistics decisions with PEI-Genesis’ overall business strategies and values. The Logistics Coordinator will collaborate with key internal stakeholders (Product Management, Sales, and Operations teams including Shipping & Receiving) to ensure high-quality logistics services and the set goals of shared objectives. Duties include but are not limited to producing reports, processing, and approving freight invoices for payment, maintaining required documentation for international and domestic freight shipments and upholding PEI-Genesis standards.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Required
- High School Diploma.
- Direct experience in either procurement or logistics roles or supply chain environments is a pre-requisite.
- 1+ years’ experience with the essential tasks and responsibilities for this role.
- 1+ years’ experience with customer service/relations.
- 1+ years’ experience with Microsoft Suite (Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in accuracy, approval and assign general ledger details for freight bills globally.
- Identify areas for cost savings in freight and small parcel shipments.
- Assist in optimizing processes and procedures with Logistics IT programs and platforms.
- Track final product shipments, costs, and timelines according to requirements.
- Assist and coordinate resolution for shipment and inventory issues.
- Create and maintain organized records of orders and stock.
- PEI-Genesis Ambassador when working with partnered companies and assisting in contract negotiations.
- Assist in creating accurate data for Ad-Hoc reporting.
TECHNICAL and/or MANAGERIAL JOB COMPETENCIES:
