SalaryThis position is responsible for coordinating and monitoring all sales shipments and deliveries for the Transportation Department for Sunbelt Solomon.
- Use information system(s) to track transport needs and solutions scheduled.
- Coordinate with third-party logistics (3PL) company to ensure loads are on time.
- Review and combine orders from customers to build loads including pickups and deliveries.
- Work with 3PL to schedule equipment to transport loads.
- Provide information needed by drivers, customers, receiving and others.
- Monitor progress for scheduled pickups and deliveries; proactively resolve delays.
- Assist Accounting Department with end of month processes in relation to logistics expenditures.
- Complete reports as requested by management.
- High School Diploma/GED, required.
- 1-3 years Microsoft Office experience, required.
- 1-3 years dispatching experience, preferred.
- Previous experience completing NAFTA forms and schedule B#'s, desired.
- Clerical test and resume, required.
- Must possess excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of transportation industry process and procedures, preferred.
- Demonstrated excellence in technical writing, proofreading, and editing.
- The capacity to work independently and collaboratively.
