Compensation to Start: $23/hour
Shift: Monday – Friday / 7am-3:30pm
Responsibilities of the Load Planner:
- Accepts/confirms receipt of loads tendered through email or other electronic means.
- Uses various websites (i.e. LEAN logistics, Navisphere) to confirm receipts of tenders and update pickup and delivery information.
- Uses TMS open orders report to plan and schedule loads.
- Responds to customer inquiries for requests for information.
- Plans deliveries based on number of drivers, transit time, delivery time, and any other metrics available.
- Ensures timely and accurate input of information into Google Docs and TMS.
- Creates trips/routes in TMW and assembles other appropriate paperwork or documents, as needed.
- Fill in as Dispatcher as needed.
- 1 year of dispatching class A drivers strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of federal and state transportation regulations.
- Must be proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and Google Docs.
- Must have 1 year of experience in a TMS (TruckMate strongly preferred).
- Must demonstrate professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to multi-task successfully, be a quick problem solver, and demonstrate follow-through skills.
- Must be adaptable, follow directions, and maintain organized work processes.
- Regular and satisfactory attendance.
- Receives feedback in a positive manner with a willingness to learn.
