About The Job:
The Client is seeking a Legal Secretary/Assistant with at least 3-4 years of experience in an Insurance Defense setting.
The Client is interested in someone who does not just carry out tasks but invests in the cases in a substantive manner and offers value beyond the normal tasks.
Responsibilities:
Preparing legal documents and correspondence.
Opening, scanning and maintaining client files.
Managing calendaring and coordinating meetings.
Proper formatting of requirements for documents.
Ability to file in all Louisiana courts and Federal courts.
Fax filing and e-filing procedures.
Requirements:
Must be dependable, punctual, cooperative, and an enthusiastic team player.
The ideal candidate should possess strong oral and written communication skills.
The ideal candidate should also be well organized and professional, capable of meeting deadlines, and adept at managing multiple complex projects.
Typing with speed and accuracy.
Effective organization skills and ability to manage work for multiple cases.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe is required.
