The Opportunity
Next Generation Foods is looking to build their team with a Warehouse Lead. This new team member will be the key person managing product inventory, ordering and shipping/receiving Monday-Friday. The Warehouse Lead is someone who enjoys working with a high-energy team, thrives in the details, and enjoys learning something new each day.
Our Compensation and Benefits show how much we value our team:

• $24.00 - $26.00 per hour, depending on experience
• Full-time hourly position, 40 hours a week Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm (+ regular opportunities for overtime)

Job Duties:

• Manage and monitor warehouse inventory.

• Organize warehouse inventory for optimal accessibility (often using a forklift and electric pallet jack).

• Create and implement new systems for increased efficiency.

• Occasionally deliver products to various locations throughout Sacramento, the Bay Area and surrounding areas.

• Assist the Delivery Driver in preparing and packing orders for delivery.

• Coordinate and execute local pick-ups and drop offs of products.

• Manage inbound and outbound shipments of products.

• Assist in creation and upkeep of logistics schedule.

• Manage and perform general warehouse maintenance and cleaning (inside and outside of building).

• Oversee warehouse safety program and protocols.

• Assist in fulfilling orders for products sold through our online platform.

• Assist Delivery Driver in performing regular vehicle inspections to maintain vehicle health.

• Regularly collaborate with the CEO, COO, and Operations Manager to ensure efficiency, provide a quality experience for customers, and identify opportunities for growth.

• Potential for training and managing others in the future.
• Assist sister company, Daylight Packing, with packaging of foods and logistical support when needed.
• Coordinate movement between Next Generation Foods and Daylight Packing.

Education / Experience Requirements:

• 3+ years’ experience in a business setting (preferably managing a warehouse and/or inventory and providing customer service).
• 2+ years of forklift experience in a warehouse setting.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs at a time.

• Ability to drive a 16-18 ft box truck safely and perform basic vehicle inspection for regular maintenance.

• Exceptional attention to small details.

• Proficient communication skills and willingness to ask for help/clarification when needed.

• Proficient computer skills (email communication, Google & Microsoft Suites, basic spreadsheet management).

• Valid CA driver’s license with a clean driving record free of major infractions.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• 21-years or older.
• Ability to clear a pre-employment background and DMV check.
