The Opportunity
Next Generation Foods is looking to build their team with a Warehouse Lead. This new team member will be the key person managing product inventory, ordering and shipping/receiving Monday-Friday. The Warehouse Lead is someone who enjoys working with a high-energy team, thrives in the details, and enjoys learning something new each day.

- $24.00 - $26.00 per hour, depending on experience
- Full-time hourly position, 40 hours a week Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm (+ regular opportunities for overtime)

Job Duties:
- Manage and monitor warehouse inventory.
- Organize warehouse inventory for optimal accessibility (often using a forklift and electric pallet jack).
- Create and implement new systems for increased efficiency.
- Occasionally deliver products to various locations throughout Sacramento, the Bay Area and surrounding areas.
- Assist the Delivery Driver in preparing and packing orders for delivery.
- Coordinate and execute local pick-ups and drop offs of products.
- Manage inbound and outbound shipments of products.
- Assist in creation and upkeep of logistics schedule.
- Manage and perform general warehouse maintenance and cleaning (inside and outside of building).
- Oversee warehouse safety program and protocols.
- Assist in fulfilling orders for products sold through our online platform.
- Assist Delivery Driver in performing regular vehicle inspections to maintain vehicle health.
- Regularly collaborate with the CEO, COO, and Operations Manager to ensure efficiency, provide a quality experience for customers, and identify opportunities for growth.
- Potential for training and managing others in the future.
- Assist sister company, Daylight Packing, with packaging of foods and logistical support when needed.
- Coordinate movement between Next Generation Foods and Daylight Packing.
Education / Experience Requirements:
- 3+ years’ experience in a business setting (preferably managing a warehouse and/or inventory and providing customer service).
- 2+ years of forklift experience in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs at a time.
- Ability to drive a 16-18 ft box truck safely and perform basic vehicle inspection for regular maintenance.
- Exceptional attention to small details.
- Proficient communication skills and willingness to ask for help/clarification when needed.
- Proficient computer skills (email communication, Google & Microsoft Suites, basic spreadsheet management).
- Valid CA driver’s license with a clean driving record free of major infractions.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 21-years or older.
- Ability to clear a pre-employment background and DMV check.
