SalaryMcCormick Barstow LLP has an immediate opening for two experienced legal secretaries to work with our Fresno office’s litigation, Insurance Coverage and Bad Faith team. Qualified candidate must be detail-oriented, strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, manage deadlines and heavy calendaring. Should be able to prioritize and follow through on assignments with minimal supervision. Candidate must also have professional telephone skills.
Responsibilities will include administrative office duties as well as opening and processing mail, calendaring, filing, scheduling depositions, preparation of client correspondence, processing of vendor bills, preparation of pleadings and discovery.
Requirements include:
- 3-5 years of previous Legal Secretary work;
- Ability to type 65+ wpm;
- Ability to effectively communicate both oral and in written form;
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, address immediate concerns and manage expectations;
- Excellent word processing skills utilizing Microsoft Word, iManage, Compulaw and Excel;
- Experience with e-filings with state and federal courts, trial preparation;
- Basic knowledge of Legal Terminology;
- Experience in insurance defense a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.44 - $31.25 per hour
