Designation: Legal Secretary/Legal Assistant

This is an on-site position, no remote work applicants, please.
Duties will include:
- responsible for all calendaring of pleading and discovery deadlines
- creation of correspondence, discovery requests and pleadings including TOA's and TOC 's for longer briefs.
- answering phones and making calls to arrange depositions and other related court services.
- maintenance of electronic and paper files
- transcription of dictation
- preparation of client invoices and tracking same
- interacting with courtroom staff, clients, and opposing counsel
Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalent experience
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Full knowledge of MS Word, Corel Word Perfect, Adobe, Excel, and billing software
- typing speed of 90 wpm
- transcription of dictation at 80 pm
- knowledge of generating TOC's and TOA's
- knowledge of legal terminology and nomenclature
- minimum 3 years of litigation experience working in a California law office or legal setting.
