POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs a variety of clerical and/or secretarial duties including, but not limited to, transcribing dictation from Dictaphone tapes as well as performing related office duties.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepares all types of legal documents and assists in preparing cases for Court and hearings.
- Maintains complete and accurate records and files.
- Receives telephone calls, answers questions and screens visitors.
- Plans, organizes and carries out the workload that is assigned.
- Types legal correspondence, orders of Court, legal documents and other related typing duties as required.
- Organizes and schedules appointments and/or hearing dates and makes certain they are kept or rescheduled.
- Assists in the compilation of information, reports and programs.
- Must be extremely discreet, work independently, and be able to multitask.
- May be required to perform additional work that follows prescribed or well-established procedures that can be learned within a reasonable time by training on the job. More detailed instructions as to the nature of their duties will be given to employees at the beginning of work.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

- High school diploma
- Prior secretarial experience, including experience with word processing and computer software, e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
