SalaryWe are a small plaintiffs' medical malpractice and personal injury law firm seeking a Legal Secretary to undertake a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. You will work under the supervision of an attorney as part of a small team and will also provide support in assigned legal cases. The goal is to sustain efficiency of all office procedures and case management so as to guarantee reliability and consistency. As we are a specialized practice, this is an entry level legal position, we provide training.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support
- Effectively communicate with witnesses, clients, colleagues, and partners
- Greet visitors and perform initial screening of clients
- After training draft various legal documents
- Answer phone calls, take notes/messages, and redirect calls when appropriate
- Maintain and update the calendar
- Facilitate the meeting of deadlines by keeping multiple agendas and provide timely reminders
Skills
- Proficiency in English
- Outstanding time-management and typing skills
- Ability to multitask and being comfortable dealing with a diverse pool of people
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 per week
