Bilingual Immigration Legal Assistant - Spanish

Lupton Law is seeking a Legal Assistant fluent in Spanish to be part of our new North Carolina team!

Lupton Law is a full service immigration law firm with four locations across the United States and is currently expanding into a fifth location in North Carolina. Duties would include, but are not limited to:

- Preparing and completing applications with clients related to their potential immigration relief;

- Interpreting for the Attorney during consultations;

- Providing detailed notes from client interactions on our case management system; and

- Coordinating with other staff regarding client meetings, consultations, and community outreach.

In addition, this job will include different (voluntary) opportunities to learn about the immigration laws and systems in the United States, including:

- Visits to detention facilities to confer with immigration clients or prospects;

- Visits to Immigration Court, where you will better learn the needs of each individual ImmigrationJudge and better understand the stresses and problems faced by immigrants in the ImmigrationCourt system; and

- Attendance at USCIS interviews for clients who will be interviewed for asylum, residency, or naturalization in the United States.

Pay: $13.00 - $17.00 per hour
