Easler Law is a growing law firm looking for our next legal assistant who wants a career path. Our practice areas include real estate, estate planning, business, civil litigation, regulatory training and compliance, and probate.
The Job Responsibilities and Duties include:
- Client intake processing and payment
- Respond to firm communications by phone and email
- Schedule appointments
- Investigate case facts to ensure the consideration of all relevant information.
- Organize, analyze, and compile information
- Develop written statements
- Secure affidavits
- Track and organize files from case documents to facilitate access and availability to attorneys
- Maintain financial records, track hours, and bill clients
- Search legal records collected in computer databases
- Customer service and following up with clients on their cases
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Legal Assistant Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent phone skills, phone etiquette, and multi-tasking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent computer/technology literacy is a must, with a satisfactory knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Docs
- Desire to learn new protocols, systems, and software
Preferred Qualifications, but not a deal-breaker:
- Bilingual
- Experience working in a law office
- Demonstrable experience working with CLIO and SLACK Chat, a plus.
The pay range for this position is $18-21 per hour, with the hourly rate being dependent on the candidate's experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
