We are seeking an entry-level Ecologist/Environmental Scientist to join our growing Environmental team in Atlanta, GA (the role can be reported out of either Peachtree Corners, GA; Cobb County, GA; or downtown Atlanta, GA). The ideal candidate possesses 0-2 of years of experience serving as an environmental consultant and/ or environmental regulatory agent with a BS in a relevant environmental discipline. Prior work, internship or project experience in renewable energy, oil & gas, transportation, or federal projects is a plus. The successful candidate would help lead environmental field studies (e.g. wetland delineations and functional assessments, threatened and endangered species surveys, NPDES inspections, Phase I/II ESAs, etc.) and document production (e.g. technical reports, NEPA documents, permit applications, etc.). The successful candidate would be mentored by our dynamic team of environmental professionals while supporting a range of multidisciplinary projects. The successful candidate would also interface with clients and support proposal development.
Qualifications:
- BS in relevant environmental discipline
- Working knowledge of wetland science, flora/fauna and ecosystems of the Southeastern US, and relevant regulatory requirements
- Experience with GIS and mapping is a plus
- Physically able to travel and conduct field work on various project sites with challenging field conditions such as steep terrain, thick vegetation, and inclement weather
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills with ability to deliver complete and clean documents
- Willingness to travel as projects require, including occasional overnight travel
- Ability to work well within a team environment, positive attitude, multi-task, and self-motivated to produce high quality work.

Additional Information
Many factors are considered when determining compensation at Pond, including scope and level of position, geographic location, candidate skill, knowledge and experience. Starting base pay may vary depending on these factors. We anticipate filling this position as a Scientist I with a salary range of $58,700.00 - $86,400.00 .
