Mid-sized Roseville law firm seeks a Legal Assistant al with a minimum of 10 years or more of legal office experience. We are looking for someone who is organized, detail oriented, dependable and adaptable. Reliable transportation and a CDL are a must.
Applicant must have general liability defense experience and be a strong multi-tasker. They must also have the ability to anticipate needs, take initiative and problem solve. Position needs both someone who works well independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of calendaring, state court rules, federal rules, special master procedure and civil procedure is necessary. Applicant must type 50+ wpm and possess excellent communication and proof reading skills, as well as the ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects. Position includes setting depositions, ordering records, drafting pleadings & discovery, trial prep, opening new files, file management and communication with clients and other firms. Required knowledge on Word, Excel, Tabs, Outlook as well as understanding of electronic filing procedures with the court.
Starting salary is comparable to going rates and will depend on experience. Hours from 8:30-5.
