Legal Assistant for Trust and Estate Firm
Well established mid-sized, Trust and Estate law firm in a metro west suburban location (Newton/Wellesley area) seeks an experienced, motivated Legal Assistant in our busy and growing law practice. Our ideal candidate is a problem-solver, is tech-savvy, learns quickly and wants to be sure that everything is running smoothly.
Duties include:
- Setting up and maintaining paper and computer case files within our data bases, including scanning, and electronically filing documents
- Assisting with preparation of estate planning documents and correspondence
- Participating in client signing meetings
- Corresponding with clients via email, phone, and mail
- Calendaring and tracking attorney meetings and appointments
- Assisting attorneys with monthly billing
Experience/Skills:
- Minimum three years of experience working in a law firm
- Experience working in a trust and estate firm preferred
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with a variety of clients, attorneys, and peers.
- Highly organized and able to effectively manage time, prioritize and multi-task
- Takes ownership of work
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Experience in iManage Document Management System and SurePoint Legal Management System a plus
Job Type: Full-time, Monday-Friday (8:30 am-5:00 pm)
4 days in office, 1 day remote
Salary: From $60,000.00 per year commensurate with experience
