SalaryShie Law is seeking a full-time Legal Assistant or Paralegal to primarily work in Probate, Decedent's Estates, and Trust Administration for our faced-paced and growing Davenport-based law firm. Candidate must have strong computer skills, be highly organized, and posses an eye for detail. Candidate must do well multi-tasking, interfacing with clients and other law firms, and working under pressure. Prior legal experience not required, but highly preferred. Competitive salary based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide support in the area of Probate, Decedent's Estates, and Trust Administration
- Provide administrative support and enhance office effectiveness
- Monitor deadlines and juggle calendars
- Handle communication with clients, law office staff, and other attorneys
- Answer and direct phone calls
- In-person interaction with clients
- Document preparation and file management
- Online recordings of legal documents with Recorder's Office
- Online filing of legal documents with Clerk's Office
Skills
- Computer literacy
- Word processing with Microsoft Office, primarily Word and Excel
- Secretarial and organizational skills
- Ability to juggle multiple activities and work under pressure
- Detail oriented
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
