Job description

The Manager of Learning Design & Development will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and implementation of innovative and scalable learning and Development solutions that enable meaningful growth for JM&A associates and our dealer partners. In this role you will help shape the strategic direction of the department by informing the vision and providing active team leadership, in addition to being ultimately responsible for oversight of departmental operations and initiatives. You will work closely with colleagues in the Associate Development, Communications, and Service Delivery teams to ensure that we are executing in alignment on a cohesive strategy that supports training and Development as one of our key organizational differentiators. You will interface directly with our dealer and vendor partners. This position is located in our Deerfield Beach, FL office, and requires a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for developing and/or refining learning and Development strategies, programs, curriculum, and processes to implement the development strategies of JM&A and its partners

  • People Management: Lead and develop a team of curriculum designers/specialist, creating a work environment that is positive, collaborative, and results-driven
  • Project Management: Proactively balance the full training design life-cycle from inception to delivery, partnering with Associates and vendor partners to deliver high quality and innovative programs
  • Content Creation, Curationand Development: Work with Instructional Designers, Learning Experience Architects, Curriculum Specialists, and SMEs to Design and develop solutions across a variety of mediums that together create a learner-centric experience (e.g., in-person, virtual, eLearning, videos, on-the-job support, management reinforcement & mentorship tools). Lead the creation of creating meaningful, memorable, and motivational content, and facilitating train-the-trainer sessions.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality, consistency, and efficacy of content by conducting regular reviews, assessments, and by gathering feedback
  • Assessment: Establish & create assessment and evaluation strategies to measure the efficacy, impact and return on investment of training initiatives
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for improvement & optimization based on feedback, assessment/learning metrics data, and market trends
  • Research: Stay abreast of the latest developments in learning trends, changes in learning theory, and Developments in learning technologies to curate an innovative learner-centric approach
  • Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with external vendors, consultants, and learning technology providers to bring in specialized expertise or tools when necessary.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with senior management, departmental heads, and other stakeholders to ensure learning and Development programs align with the company's strategic goals and objectives.
  • Budget Management: Oversee and manage the department budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources and maximizing the ROI for training initiatives.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's &/or Master's degree in Education, Business Administration, Technology or related field.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with a focus on fostering a culture of empowerment, transparency, and results
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a focus on leadership in project management.
  • Proven ability to create and develop successful training programs, with a focus on adult learning principles, innovative approaches and delivery modalities that are learner-centric
  • Knowledge of the latest trends and technologies in adult learning and training modalities
  • Proficiency in using key development tools and understand the time required for specific tasks to efficiently delegate project work.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
