Job Description: Lead Designer
We’re looking to hire an experienced Architectural Designer to join our growing team! The ideal candidate is a creative, hardworking, highly organized, productive, and motivated individual with 7+ years of experience in the architecture, building, engineering, or design industry to lead our in house design team and also to work effectively and proficiently with partnering design firms.
Candidate must have the ability to produce construction drawings, detail drawings, exterior elevations, and interior elevations using Revitt architectural software. Candidate must have mastery of Revitt architectural software, AutoCAD and general computing skills. Must be talented and passionate about design, detail-oriented, and have a great work ethic. Preferred candidates will have field knowledge and experience in residential construction and construction methods. General Responsibilities:
Collaborate with design team on concepts and design development.
Participate in all phases of design projects assigned, including but not limited to, measuring existing buildings, space planning, plan design and development of detail drawings, product selections, presentations to the client, timeline management, and project supervision communication.
Collaboration with a team to achieve an elevated design that is unique and specific to each client.
Proactively anticipate the needs of the client and project & be a self-starter to move through projects efficiently.
Maintain and make updates to finish/fixture schedules that effectively communicate design selection and details, allowing contractors and subs to accurately execute.

Provide accurate time records each day.
Be dependable, responsive, thorough, and detailed.
Meet or exceed timeline goals and expectations.
Possess the ability to manage numerous projects at one time.

Required Education and Experience
Minimum of 7 years of experience in remodeling/new home construction design preferred.
Bachelors Degree with a major in Architecture or Engineering design or (CPBD) Certified Professional Building Designer
Mastery of Revitt architectural software
Must be located in the Asheville, NC area or be interested in relocating to Asheville.
Applicant must submit a portfolio for consideration. Portfolio should demonstrate an understanding of drafting standards, construction drawings, 3D rendering, and the ability to space plan.
Knowledge and familiarity with Microsoft Suite, and Adobe.
Ability to take accurate measurements and develop existing building drawings.
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Creative thinker able to develop drawings/details from concept sketches and images.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Working knowledge of office equipment
Thorough understanding of office management procedures
This position will require driving so any candidate must possess and maintain a valid NC driver’s license throughout their employment

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
