ResponsibilitiesThis position provides communications support to the Associate Vice President for Facilities, the Facilities Department and Planning, Design & Construction.
- Support the Facilities Communications Manager in developing internal and external communications, including the website, social media channels, print and digital media, and other outreach materials.
- Assist with development and implementation of Facilities communications infrastructure, including brand guidelines and project management processes.
- Assist with development and implementation of Facilities brand and assets.
- Supervise student communications staff: graphic designer, social media coordinator, writing staff.
- Bachelor's degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma/equivalent and six years of experience. (Note: or a combination of post-high school education and experience equal to six years.)
- Ability to utilize multimedia approaches to training.
- Ability to develop and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.
- Skill in public speaking.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to gather, interpret, report, and/or edit information.
- Knowledge of Word Perfect
- Knowledge of training and teaching methodology.
- Knowledge of web design and development.
- Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.
- Knowledge of current media technology, trends, and tracking platforms
- Ability to convey technical information to technical and non-technical users.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Knowledge of applicable computer applications and basic computer functions.
- Knowledge of and the ability to interpret and apply related University policies, procedures, principles, and practices.
- Ability to plan, implement, and direct photography, graphics, and audio/visual associated operations.
- Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply related federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, rules and regulations.
