Land Acquisition And Development Specialist

We are hiring a Land Acquisition and Development Specialist in Houston, TX!

The Land Acquisition and Development Specialist will be work closely with the Acquisition and Development teams to acquire land and develop individual single-family lots within master planned communities. 

What You Will Do:

• Develop and maintain relationships with landowners, real estate brokers, and stakeholders to support Land Acquisitions.
• Conduct basic market research to identify potential properties suitable for residential development. Assist in analyzing property values, governmental regulations, and other relevant data.
• Support negotiations for acquisitions and purchase agreements.
• Assist in coordinating due diligence processes, including surveys, environmental assessments, and title review.
• Collaborate with engineers, planners, and consultants to align potential Land Acquisitions with underwriting requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of acquisition packages.
• Learn and support marketing strategies for new and existing communities.
• Assist in the preparation of quarterly reports for existing communities.
• Support basic financial modeling for potential acquisitions and existing communities.

What You Will Bring:

• Bachelor Degree in a relevant field of study preferred
• 1-3 years experience and general knowledge of residential Land Acquisition processes and Development procedures
• Ability to work independently with a high level of initiative and strong work ethic.
• Ability to successfully multi-task and utilize project management skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Computer proficient with strong Microsoft Office experience
