The Role
As a Junior Software Engineer with our Professional Services group, you will participate in client-specific projects within a team focused on client onboarding or client optimization. You will work in coordination with your engineering manager, product operations manager, and team to improve the systems that our clients rely on for their operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Make client-specific contributions to our platform as directed by your engineering manager.
- Adopt best practices within your team, following established patterns and processes.
- Break down your assigned projects into engineering tasks to create daily progress.
- Review code from your teammates to improve team velocity.
- Oversee deployments to bring your changes to production.
- Demonstrate the results and business impact of your work to your team.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of Software Engineering work experience.
- Experience carrying out engineering tasks with guidance.
- Experience understanding unfamiliar systems and learning on the job.
- Experience maintaining documentation when you make relevant changes.
- Some experience with these technologies:
- Frontend using React.
- Backend using Python Web Frameworks (Flask, Django, FastAPI, etc.)
- Data Management Systems (PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Cassandra, Kafka, etc.)
- Cloud Deployment using Kubernetes (with observability)
- Experience working with fully remote teams is a plus.
