This Junior Software Engineer position supports agile development of a radio frequency analysis tool web app using JavaScript with Node.js, React and Express components and MATLAB physics modeling backend. Currently working on maintaining all customer requirements while shifting the physics modeling tech stack towards Python or C++.
This position is available as a hybrid telework position perfect for commuters in the Virginia and Maryland areas. Offers may be contingent on the candidate’s ability to obtain a DoD security clearance.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, modify, implement, and support software components anywhere in the software stack.
Determine root cause for complex software issues and develop practical, efficient, and permanent technical solutions.
Determine process improvements, best practices, and develop new processes.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM field
Experience:
Experience successfully designing, developing, and implementing multiple software components and systems in Microsoft Windows
Knowledge of source control tool such as git
Knowledge of software lifecycle management tool such as Azure DevOps
Knowledge of unit tests and performing code review
Ability to provide in-depth evaluation and analysis of unique complex technological issues
Skills and Technology Used:
Languages such as: C++, C#, JavaScript, MATLAB, or Python
Basic knowledge of Linux operating systems
Clearance Requirement: must be able to obtain DoD Secret Clearance
