Responsibilities:
We are looking for a motivated Software Engineer with a strong interest in developing high performance solutions for resource constrained targets. The candidate will support Draper in the development of next-generation resilient and fault tolerant software solutions. The candidate should have experience in the software development life cycle and a fundamental understanding of Software Engineering. Any prior experience in software design using industry standard tools such as UML is a plus. The candidate will support Draper’s efforts in the development of mission-critical embedded system software for various industries.
The candidates activities will include full lifecycle Software Engineering, including requirements analysis, architectural & functional design, implementation, test, and integration of Embedded Software systems. He/she must be able to work closely with senior & junior hardware, software and system engineers as part of an integrated team.
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Engineering(Computer Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Computer Science) or equivalent
- Experience developing using C or C++
- Experience developing for embedded targets
- Sound development and integration skills are required,
- Excellent problem solving, debugging, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Past design experience with UML/SysML
- Experience with in-circuit emulators, JTAG debuggers, and laboratory test equipment such as logic analyzers and oscilloscopes.
- Familiarity with modern software development tools for version control, static and dynamic analysis and continuous integration is a plus
