The Junior Accountant works in the Accounting and Finance Department, performing general cost, revenue, and bookkeeping transactions under the supervision of the Accounting Manager.
In this role, you will be involved in the entire accounting process and responsible for the complete flow of the Account Receivable or Account Payables assigned.
Duties and Responsibilities
- General entry posting on SAP system of Account Receivable and Account Payable documents.
- Verifies payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts
- Maintain accurate tracking, backup, and archive filing of the documents posted
- Secure, confidential documents
- Reconcile statements for Customers and Suppliers and review G/L
- Inquire/Respond to Suppliers
- Generate and reconcile ad hoc reports
- Support the financial closing, tax, and audit activities
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager
Required Skills
- Knowledge of general financial accounting, cost accounting, and double-entry posting
- Understand generally accepted accounting principles: assets, liabilities, loss, and profit
- Knowledge of accounting software
- Organize, diligent, accurate on entry posting, filing and detail-oriented
- Team worker
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related discipline required.
- One to three years of accounting experience.
Carrier path
Depending exclusively on personal aptitude, the Junior Account can improve accounting skills supporting the Accounting Manager's activities, be part of the Finance Department's entire workflow, and develop Senior Accountant skills.
