Junior Accountant

Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. Duties:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements

-Verify transactions are recorded in the correct G/L accounts

-Handle bank reconciliation

-Posting and processing journal entries
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Conduct account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Assist with the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Utilize accounting software to perform daily tasks
- Stay updated on financial concepts and industry best practices
- Support the financial management team in ad hoc projects

-Provide backup support for payroll, 401(k) and other benefit related transactions

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Solid understanding of financial accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in using accounting software
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Knowledge of corporate accounting procedures and regulations
- Familiarity with account reconciliation processes

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $58,141.40 - $75,000.00 per year
