Form of workWe are looking for an IT Information Specialist is responsible for designing the processes and technologies required to implement, support, organize, modify, and otherwise maintain end user devices (workstations and other endpoints) in a VDI environment. In collaboration with system and network administrators, this position will assist in design, implement, and enforce standards through server centric tools to manage VDI endpoints. The position is expected to manage endpoints in a hybrid environment consisting of thin clients with virtualized desktops, physical PC workstations with local and domain managed profiles, and end-user BYOD mobility. This role is located in Carol Stream, IL.
- Should have VMWare and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure implementation and administration skills
- Should have thorough understanding of hardware and peripherals with experience supporting the following operating systems in a networked environment; Windows 10 and Windows 11
- Experience with endpoint architecture design and implementation in a Windows environment
- Experience with Level 1 and 2 support for networking and application issues
- Design, implement, and maintain standard architecture for endpoints utilizing virtualized desktop systems, physical desktop, laptop, tablet, or other endpoint systems and devices.
- VMware Horizon View, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+ certifications are preferred
- Able to lift at least 25 pounds
- The candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between location and the transportation of equipment
- A valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required
- Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
- Must demonstrate a “can-do” attitude
