It Senior Project Manager

We are hiring an IT Senior Project Manager. As an IT Senior Project Manager, you will:

• Manage a range of projects from technology procurement for new systems, including vendor selection and contract negotiations, IoT systems, data analytics, and SaaS implementations.
• Ensure technology projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including stakeholders, subject matter experts, IT analysts and developers, and vendors to ensure the success of a project.

• Plan, manage, and execute technology projects, from initiation to delivery, while ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Define project goals, scope, and deliverables, and create detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure that project deliverables meet or exceed expectations.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams, including developers, quality assurance, business analysts, and stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress and report project status to stakeholders, including identifying and mitigating risks, and resolving project issues.
• Manage project resources, including assigning tasks, tracking progress, and ensuring that project deadlines are met.
• Ensure that project documentation is complete, accurate, and up to date including project plans, status reports, and project deliverables.
• Continuously improve project management processes and methodologies and promote best practices across the organization.
• Manage procurement activities including requests for proposals, vendor selection, contract negotiations, and vendor management.
• Ensure effective communications to end users and change management best practices.
• Set up and use effective project governance oversight to resolve issues, conflicts, and priorities that can block project success.

Knowledge, skills, abilities, competencies

• Proven experience as an IT Project Manager, with a track record of successfully delivering complex technology projects on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Strong project management skills, including experience with project planning, risk management, and project delivery.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and executives.
• Competence in project management tools and methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and Scrum.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing project requirements.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle and methodologies
• Effective negotiator and communicator.

Experience, education, and other requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field or equivalent work experience
• Four (4) or more years of experience as an IT Project Manager with increasing levels of complexity or projects
• Project Management coursework with certification required (e.g. PMP, ScrumMaster)
