What will you be doing in this role:
The IT Operations Project Manager/Business Analyst is responsible for planning and coordinating all activities necessary to implement various operational initiatives. Responsible for developing and managing detailed project budgets and schedules, status reports, project Power Point presentations, and escalation of critical issues. Coordinates communication between all project team members and operational partners, ensures vendor responsiveness and compliance with the terms of the contract, and coordinates initial user training/transition to an ongoing user support group.
Responsibilities Include:
Contract Management
- Enter and track contract meta data into defined tool
- Run reports to notify people of pending renewals, term dates, etc
- Review contracts to make sure they adhere to standard policies, terms and conditions, etc, provide feedback to Manager/Director
Budgets
- Create budget entry tools or work within defined system to make sure ready for budget entry
- Coordinate budget timeline/deliverables with Directors
- Compare budgets against YTD actuals to see if anything is missing
- Collate budgets and prepare presentation slides as needed for different audiences (Internal vs external (finance))
Consulting Contracts
- Prepare new consulting agreements and extensions as needed
- Track consultants within defined tool with estimated budget amounts
- Communicate directly with consulting agencies
- Assist hiring manager/director with onboarding as needed
Financial Analysis
- Review monthly financials and document any unexplained variances
- Compare monthly financials with budget
- Prepare meeting slides as needed
Benchmarking
- Collects, collates and enters benchmarking data for various surveys (Vizient, epic, gartner, etc) with over sight from Assoc. Director
- Does basic analysis on survey results
- Prepares meeting slides as needed to present data
Process Improvement
- Coordinates and works on department process improvement initiatives – including portfolio management, financial management, and resource management.
- Maintains yearly department goals structure
- Owns department sharepoint and internal communications
Qualifications
Experience Requirements:
One (1) plus years of experience in managing projects. Preferably IT and IT Financial projects in a health care organization.
Requires project management experience, using Project Management Institute and/or Information Technology Infrastructure Library Foundation principles.
Demonstrated experience in project management, systems analysis, and vendor/customer interactions required.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, project development, and management software.
Educational/Certification Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in project management, health care, business, or technical field. (preferred)
