Job Description
Project Manager Duties will consist of:
- Report to and assist Division Manager.
- Business casual attire.
- Job site safety requirements as required by the client (long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.).
- Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.).
- Participation in meetings, in person preferred.
- Daily huddles with direct project team (Super/FM/Field Engineers)
- Huddle boards built around Quality, Quantity (production), and Safety.
- Discuss obstacles that have been encountered, work to resolve.
- Action items around obstacles and missing goals.
- Real time feedback for your direct reports.
- Weekly dialogue around performance.
- Review production with Super/FM.
- Focus on the underperformers by observing their schedules.
- Daily production performance review.
- Field observations of top performers to take away efficiencies and communicate to team.
- Office & Field support.
- Site Visits (3-days/week in field on project site).
- Speak with the crews and drive expectations.
- Review and discuss JHA.
- Get to know your team.
- Feedback from the field (what ideas do they have, what obstacles do they have).
- Document and provide back on the huddle to leadership.
- Field Reports – Review HCSS/B2W Daily Reports submitted by Foreman for accuracy.
- Descriptive (footage of main installed, service lengths & quantities, etc.)
- Proper use of Cost Codes (change order scopes, as applicable).
- Weekly Trackers - Review & written approval of Field Engineer submitted Weekly Trackers.
- Project Schedules – Review with PCA and provide updates based on current production.
- Payroll
- Monthly End Reports
- Proof of Forecasts As Needed
- Project startup
- Review & understand project estimate / coordinate handoff meeting from Estimator to team.
- Setup job tote / delegate to FEs.
- Setup all POs and subcontracts.
- Review schedule compared to schedule submitted with bid.
- Request toilet
- Ensure no parks are submitted / encroachment permit agency is notified.
- Submit spoils disposal request to yard.
- Secure a yard if needed.
- Review and confirm any environmental requirements per ERTC.
- Request soil sampling if required.
- Ensure work authorization is issued and acknowledged.
- Ensure Customer has not issued new documents from time of bid to construction.
- Ensure pre-construction photos and videos are completed.
- Submit RFIs / PCOs for out of scope work or extra work included in the proposal; 48-hour timeline to submit per Customer requirements.
- RFI’s/PCO’s that span more than 30-ea days should be broken down and submitted/closed out monthly.
- Ensure FEs are creating as-builts in Locus View.
- Contractual
- Purchase Orders (maintaining logs).
- Maintaining accurate Commitment Logs.
- CSA’s
- Subcontract Agreements
- Review and sign invoice packets for submittal.
- Review / facilitate resolution of claims; provide immediate notice to Division Manager as these arise.
- Schedule / ensure compaction testing is completed.
- Box up tote / job docs and store once project is completed.
