OPPORTUNITY SNAPSHOT:
Leads Elkay Interior Systems’ service delivery and data management teams and systems. Leading and/or directing cross-functional teams in a hands-on capacity for defining technical requirements, constraints, limitations, and project plans in conjunction with business process improvement efforts. Focus on building and maintaining the processes, technologies, and organizational structures that create data of value, make it available to solve business problems, govern it, improve its quality, and participate in its protection. Manages Elkay Interior System resources and collaborates with others in IT as well as across the business to achieve organizational objectives. Service Delivery is a key component of success. Requires hands-on technical work.
DAY IN THE LIFE:
- Creation of strategies, architectures, templates, processes, tools, and structures to manage service delivery and data.
- Develops positive customer relationships which make it possible to influence positive change and contribute to collaboration in defining and implementing IT solutions.
- Participates in defining strategic application architecture.
- Implementation of tools and technologies in the areas of data cataloging, data governance, master data, data privacy, data provisioning and other relevant areas of data management.
- Works with the business to define innovative solutions, prioritize and manage IT projects.
- Ensures appropriate levels of resources, either internal or outsourced, to address business needs in the most cost-effective approach.
- Works with software vendors to manage the relationship and ensure Elkay Interior Systems’ requirements are being addressed within the technical standards.
- Understand and communicate the impact of system changes as they relate to business processes to affected teams or stakeholders.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
- 3+ years of experience in IT or equivalent in an operational capacity with requisite responsibility.
- Bachelor’s degree or greater is required; a degree in a technical area is preferred but not required.
- Experience managing projects is required; prior lead or management role is preferred.
- Technical experience in data analysis is strongly preferred.
- Experience with related technologies in use at Elkay Interior System is strongly preferred, such as Snowflake, Salesforce, PowerBI and Epicor.
- Experience working with both the IT and business sides of an organization is required.
- Experience with the various business functions of the manufacturing industry is preferred.
- Ability to manage and coach others.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lead meetings and gain consensus in the form of an informal leader.
- Demonstrated team leadership skills.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail oriented.
