We have a newly created opportunity for a Sr. IT Manager, Service Management to join our corporate IT team. In this role you will plan, direct, and oversee the operations and team members responsible for IT Service Delivery. This role includes the comprehensive oversight of critical IT functions of Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity, IT Service Management (ITSM) Platform and Process Management, Compliance, and IT Asset Management. This Senior Manager works closely with the IT Security Team, Service Delivery Team, Compliance teams and other key stakeholders to understand business requirements and forecast future technology needs. Responsibilities include development and implementation of robust strategies, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations, and optimizing the efficiency of the IT service delivery landscape. Additionally, the Sr Manager, Service Management serves as project manager and/or sponsors projects and provides leadership, mentorship, and support to team members.
- Develops and implements comprehensive strategies for Disaster Recovery, ITSM, Compliance, and IT Asset Management, aligned with organizational goals.
- Develops, implements, and manages Komatsu's Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity strategy, ensuring the resilience of IT systems and the ability to recover in the event of a disruption.
- Provides strategic leadership for the ITSM function, overseeing the administration and optimization of ITSM platforms and processes.
- Collaborates with internal and external audit teams to ensure regulations related to IT processes and controls are satisfying the governing policies; Leads efforts to assess and enhance IT controls as needed. Identifies and mitigates risks associated with the areas of responsibility, including compliance gaps and process inefficiencies; Partners with the Cyber Security team on policy review, best practice alignment and incident management.
- Oversees the IT Asset Management function, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, and retirement of IT assets; Implements and enforces policies to ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and regulatory requirements.
- Manages relationships with vendors related to Disaster Recovery, ITSM, Compliance and IT Asset Management; Collaborates with GVMO to negotiate contracts and ensures service level agreements are met.
- Generates regular reports on the performance, compliance, and efficiency of Disaster Recovery, ITSM, Compliance, and IT Asset Management functions; Provides insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support decision-making processes; Provides budgetary reporting and cost optimization opportunities.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- 8+ years IT experience including proven experience in a senior leadership role overseeing Disaster Recovery, ITSM, Compliance, and IT Asset Management with a minimum 3+ years of prior leadership experience.
- In-depth knowledge of industry best practices, standards, and regulations in each respective area.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities.
- Preferred Skills: Certification in Business Continuity Planning (e.g., CBCP, CBCI); Familiarity with relevant technologies, tools, and methodologies; Experience in conducting risk assessments and business impact analysis; Certification in IT Asset Management (e.g., Certified Software Asset Manager - CSAM, Certified IT Asset Manager - CITAM); Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) tools.
