JOB OVERVIEW
The position Leads transformation and promoting new projects in our Retail/Omnichannel environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in optimizing our retail business processes in the omnichannel context, with a primary focus on POS, mobile touchpoints, and store merchandise management. This role involves configuring systems, integrating third-party APIs, and collaborating closely with both business and technology stakeholders.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead retail/store initiatives globally to achieve business results with high quality and timelines.
- Lead business and solution architecture workshops in transformation planning.
- Analysis and conception of business processes for Retail business in the omnichannel context, notably but not limited to POS, mobile touchpoints, and store merchandise management.
- Configuration of the systems for new or existing store systems, peripherals, interfaces, and application parameters to meet specific business requirements.
- Build and maintain third-party API integration using REST, SOAP webservices and data exchange between ERP and POS outbound/Inbound IDOCS.
- Prepare requirements for implementation of new features, enhancements, and defects in close co-ordination with the business and technology service providers.
- Supporting business team with technical inquiries relating to our software products in retail landscape and new technology trends in industry.
- Requirements-based analysis and processing as well as classification, documentation, and monitoring of support tickets.
- Carrying out error-cause analyzes on internal test systems and participating in the quality assurance of new software releases (POS, Payments, Loyalty, ERP)
- Documentation of complex topics related to constantly evolving product versions and project specific customization in POS applications and interfaces.
- Work on cut-over planning, go-live preparation, quality assurance and key user training for new releases.
- Carrying out installations and updates of our software solutions as part of international retail projects.
- Operational monitoring, technical support, co-ordination, and follow-ups with Callaway engineering teams & external system providers
- Keep up to date on the technology in the market to help the organization find the right solutions.
- Lead cross-functional IT teams (including multiple departments, business units, international locations, or external vendor/consultant resources) to ensure the successful delivery of a business objective as assigned by the manager.
- Create new concepts and technologies that drive significant benefits to the organization.
- Participate in developing and accessing strategic plans for future technology or business process changes.
- Assist in FIT/GAP analysis and provide customization/workaround solution recommendations in order to achieve the desired business objectives on the proposed requirements.
- Must be able to work with integrated teams within the organization.
COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
- Excellent understanding of suite of SAP products & solutions and its integration into Retail/OMNI POS.
- 6-8 years of professional experience of IT in Retail environment
- Knowledge and experience in Retail POS, Order Management and Omnichannel
- Good understanding of Payments, Loyalty and other third-party integration with POS
- POS data exchange and integration with SAP ERP
- Good operating system knowledge in Windows environments
- Experience with Java-based POS solutions and JPOS drivers for Peripheral devices
- Good presentation and expression skills
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related area, or equivalent additional work experience required.
- Experience in Store-POS Consulting/ POS configuration /Software Development involving POS product with minimum 2 years on any one of these solution providers (SAP POS, GK POS, APTOS, Retail Pro and NCR)
- Excellent knowledge of Store/POS process for different retail businesses (Fashion, Discount Stores, Grocery, Home Goods, and Convenience).
- Development/implementation experience POS applications, preferably GK POS with 3 - 4 implementations on any of the global POS solutions
- Exposure to software application implementation/development and customer requirements mapping and experience in client interactions to understand their requirements and must be able to draft the Functional Specification, work closely with technical team to validate the technical specifications.
- Should have knowledge on Business Process analysis, problem definition, Detailing of Processes of Point of Sale
- Working experience on Mobile POS and Omni POS.
