An Inventory Specialist should bring unwavering professionalism, meticulous accuracy, and exceptional math and observation skills to the position. Inventory specialists can expect to work closely with management, develop and improve existing procedures and policies, and prevent losses. Other responsibilities include ensuring the accuracy of inventory records, compiling balance, price, and cost reports, and conducting regular counts of all products.
A successful candidate must be able to:
Track incoming and outgoing products and updating the database accordingly.
Maintain count accuracy (digital and physical counting).
Inspect and define disposition guidelines of returned products to be re-entered into inventory Coordinate customer credit, refund and return process as it pertains to inventory reconciliation, communicating cross-functionally, and auditing financial impacts.
Audit the accuracy of product dimensions and weights captured in the current database.
Oversee presale inventory allocation and update the sales team with new product information.
Develop loss mitigation strategies, processes, and protocols.
Create detailed reports for adjustments, inventory operations, and stock levels.
Provide low inventory and slow-moving inventory analysis; forecast future inventory requirements and drive visibility of available products based on defined criteria.
Dispose of obsolete inventory as directed.

Qualifications:
Experience in inventory management or a similar role.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Firm grasp of basic computer programs.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in mathematical and statistical methods
Detail-oriented with a focus on mathematical accuracy.
Knowledge of supply chain processes and logistics.
Ability to complete tasks on a deadline.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
