We are seeking a Legal Project Assistant to work closely with the attorneys, paralegals, and support staff of the Group to assist with various aspects of the Group's work, and to provide support for other projects and matters as required from time to time. Candidates must be in Chicago, Madison, or Milwaukee.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in electronic document preparation and case filings with the USPTO.
- Provide independent management of case and project workload.
- Draft, edit, and proofread internal and external communications while meeting required deadlines.
- Preparing and filing Information Disclosure Statements (IDS) for attorney and paralegal review.
- Communicate with clients and prepare documents, reminders, and updates for same.
- Work collaboratively with internal client teams and pair with paralegals to execute on client deliverables.
Qualifications:
- Intellectual Property patent prosecution experience is STRONGLY preferred.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong technology skills and experience with Microsoft Office/Outlook/PowerPoint and willingness to learn additional programs.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Strong ability to prioritize and handle multiple responsibilities and tasks simultaneously.
- Highly motivated and a self-starter.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with minimal supervision.
