Intake Coordinator

Wonder Tree Developmental Psychology is seeking an Intake Coordinator to assist with intake and insurance duties.

Intake Responsibilities Include:

• Responding to all new referrals via an initial email within 24 hours;
• Scheduling an initial call (15-20 minutes) to explain services in detail and connect with a provider;
• Assisting with client onboarding in Simple Practice;
• Sending initial paperwork; and
• Discussing financials, including obtaining insurance information and clarifying benefits.

Insurance Responsibilities Include:

• Checking eligibility;
• Confirming benefits;
• Submitting claims;
• Following up regarding denied claims;
• Helping with insurance credentialing; and
• Assisting with all other insurance related issues.

Requirements/Preferences:

• Experience with the mental health field or working in a private practice setting
• Insurance billing, medical billing, and insurance credentialing experience highly preferred
• Local to the Portland, OR, or Vancouver WA area
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Friendly, warm demeanor

Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week
