Erie Neighborhood House, a progressive social service agency serving the Chicago metropolitan area and dedicated to promoting a just and inclusive society, is seeking a full-timeIntake Coordinator. Erie Neighborhood House’s Intake Department is responsible for the recruitment and enrollment of the agency’s housing counseling clients and families.
Basic Function:
Reporting to the Housing Opportunities Manager in the Community Wellness Support Services Department, the Intake Coordinator position responsibilities include:
- The Intake Coordinator will report to the Housing Opportunities Program Manager and contribute by receiving inbound calls or placing outbound calls consistent with the organization’s policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- The Intake Coordinator will encourage individuals to take the right steps toward positive financial change.
- Provide customer service to and serves as the primary contact for prospective and current applicants to our Housing and Financial Empowerment programs.
- Share the benefits of our programs, gather information, and connect clients to our network of community partners.
- Responsible for data entry and maintenance of client databases to track efforts and outcomes.
- Complete next-day appointment reminders for clients who are scheduled for a counseling session.
- Manage the no-show reminder report by ensuring weekly calls are placed to clients until the client is rescheduled or closed out.
- Assist clients by collecting budget information and adding information to our client management system.
- Manage outreach tracker reports to ensure phone calls are being made in a timely manner.
- Maintain client records.
- Process incoming applications for housing stability.
- Perform other duties as required by the Program Manager or designee.
- This position requires a High School Diploma; an AA in Business or related field preferred.
- Computer skills for Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, and Outlook) required.
- Experience with Salesforce and mPact Pro databases a plus. Office experience preferred.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English and Spanish.
- Ability to lift and carry children and other items weighing up to 50 pounds, including evacuation of the building during emergencies.
- Demonstrate the following qualities: self-motivated, self-directed, follows directions, makes good judgments, creative reliable and dependable.
- Exhibits sincere interest in working families and community and is knowledgeable about available resources.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
