Job Description:
Louisiana State University Eunice seeks an Instructor or Assistant Professor of Communication Studies that is capable of teaching freshman and sophomore level courses. The Instructor or Assistant Professor of Communication Studies will primarily teach majors and non-majors communication, speech, mass communication, but will also instruct in other courses, as needed.
Job Responsibilities:
65% Development of course materials in Communication related fields, which entails but is not limited to; timely submission of course syllabus’ and supporting course materials to Division. Instruction of course materials in Communication related fields, which entails but is not limited to; timely communication of all grades to students and the Division and timely submission of Student Learning Outcomes to the Division.
30% Office hours and student advising
Committee work and other University service
5% Other Duties as assigned
$40,000.00-$45,000.00
Minimum Qualifications:
Instructor: Master’s Degree in related field from a regionally accredited institution OR Master’s degree in unrelated field plus 18 credit hours in related Humanities field from a regionally accredited institution
Preferred Qualifications:
Instructor: Ph.D. in related field from a regionally accredited institution with related experience in teaching and/ or scholarly activities

LSU Eunice is LSU’s only comprehensive, two-year institution providing access and education to enrich the lives of its diverse students, enhance statewide economic development, and improve the vitality of the communities it serves. Louisiana State University Eunice is located just southwest of Eunice along Louisiana Highway 755 on a 196-acre tract of land originally belonging to the Arnold LeDoux family, which donated fifty acres for the establishment of the University campus.
