This position assists Human Resources personnel with the recruiting, researching, interviewing, screening of job candidates for job openings, compiles and maintains personnel records, administers policies relating to all phases of Human Resources and assists with a variety of general office and payroll activities by performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
Follow policies and procedures set forth in Company employee manual and publications
Maintain the confidentiality of all employee and employer related information
Confer with management and supervisors to identify personnel needs
Promote diversity and inclusion in all phases of the hiring and employment process
Promote teamwork throughout the organization in a “lead by example” manner
Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures and programs
Identify legal requirements and government reporting and posting regulations affecting Human Resources functions and ensures policies and procedures are adhered to
POLICY ADMINISTRATION
Advise HR Manager of policy and/or personnel issues
Securely file and maintain employment records for future reference
Assist in the administration of disciplinary actions and terminations
Examine employee files to answer inquiries and provide information to authorized personnel
Investigate accidents and injuries and prepare reports for insurance carrier
TALENT ACQUISTION AND EVALUATION
Develop and maintain network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates
Place approved job advertising in various media
Coordinate and execute internal job posting program
Provide information on company facilities and job opportunities to potential applicants
Review applications and interview applicants to obtain work history, education, training, job skills and salary requirements
Perform reference and background checks on internal and external applicants
Advise on the selection of employees to fill vacant positions
Coordinate communication with applicants

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum Experience: High school diploma and 2+ years in Human Resources or similar field.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of the organization.
Ability to uphold and explain the policies and procedures of the organization while exhibiting respect and understanding for employees at all levels.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, and fractions. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Ability to perform basic functions of office software such as Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel. Familiar with database functions.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
