Requirements of the HRIS Generalist:
- An associate's or bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Human Resources, preferred
- At least 2 years of broad Human Resources experience with a solid base knowledge of HR principles, practices, systems, and regulations
- Experience managing HRIS changes/implementations is ideal, Workday experience is a huge plus
- Must be detail and process-oriented with the ability to partner with non-technical individuals to understand user needs and translate needs into technical requirements
- Effective collaboration and communication skills to work with the HR team, employees & leaders within the organization, as well as vendors.

Functional HR Responsibilities:
- Provide HR policy support, guidance, and interpretation to management and employees
- Conduct new employee orientation and collect required forms during onboarding; process terminations, conduct exit and stay interviews
- Perform tasks related to the administration of benefits, worker's compensation, ADA, and family medical leave
- Provide support for annual performance reviews and employee engagement surveys
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and location regulations
- File mandated annual, quarterly, and other periodic reports; generate HR reports upon request (i.e. hiring, employee turnover, performance reviews, worker's compensation, STD, LTD, and family medical leave)
HRIS Responsibilities:
- Act as a lead for HRIS system implementation, including continued testing and configuration, system optimization post go-live, and coordination with HR team members, organizational leaders, and other Workday project leads
- Review existing functionality and business processes and suggest changes to increase productivity and efficiency. Manage requests for process improvements and system enhancements.
- Actively identify and resolve issues or opportunities for enhanced user experience and other HRIS integrations.
- Develop, document, and maintain all current and new HRIS business process workflows for efficiency and compliance.
- Develop user procedures, guidelines, and documentation. Provide training for system users.
