Job Summary:
The Human Resource Generalist will support the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including operational support, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.

Work Schedule and Hours:
- 8:30 – 5:00pm; onsite. May be a possibility for the position to be hybrid; one (1) day remote.
Duties/Responsibilites:
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation, while maintaining integrity and confidentiality.
- Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- Acts as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers.
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
- Manages leave of absence programs org-wide, while ensuring compliance with local, state and federal guidelines.
- Conducts employee eligibility verifications and background checks, where necessary.
- Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations;performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Assists with employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Attends and participates employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations, as necessary.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in Human Resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- At least two (2) years of human resource management experience required.
- SHRM-CP a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
