POSITION OVERVIEW:
Under the direction of the VP of HR, the HR Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including administering pay, benefits, and leave, conducting employee investigations, enforcing company policies and practices, may assist with constructive and timely performance evaluations.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in human resources management or related field, required.
3+ years of HR Generalist experience with an emphasis on HR operations or employee relations, preferred.
SHRM-CP certification, preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
3-5+ years equivalent work experience required in HR related field
LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:
Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills (written and verbal); ability to effectively communicate and work with all levels of employees throughout the organization.
- Ability to recognize issues before they become serious and assist in determining the best method for resolution.
- Ability to effectively present complex information through presentation or reports to employees and managers.
- Must be able to work effectively with service providers (e.g. health care and third-party providers).
- Ability to implement best practices in various HR disciplines.
