A Condado HR Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including facilitating and managing employee relations, enforcing company policies and practices. HR is the champion for Condado's mission and vision and helps lead the charge to drive the culture of Condado!
Reports To: Senior HR Manager
Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 Annually
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Conducts and documents formal investigations of employee complaints. Recommends appropriate resolution and reviews with HR management when necessary.
- Corrective action review
- Conducts exit interviews in a timely manner, analyzes, and summarizes data periodically for leadership review.
- Manages the HRIS to ensure accuracy
- Administers workers compensation and guest claims
- Enters, maintains, and/or processes information in the payroll system; Rate changes, position movement, terminations
- Assist in the execution of the Human Resources strategic plan in support of the overall business unit and corporate strategic direction
- Work closely with general management to understand business issues and opportunities and assist them in developing and implementing HR initiatives to address those opportunities
- Evaluates and edits policies/procedures as needed w/ HR management
- Monthly reporting
- Assist with initiatives to promote employee engagement, morale, recognition
- Supports the development and implementation of employee programs
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices
- Performs other related duties as required (Including occasional nights and weekends)
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Thorough understanding of state and federal laws concerning labor relations.
- Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- At least 3 years of Generalist experience, specifically employee relations preferred.
- Spanish / English Bi-Lingual preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
