POSITION SUMMARY:
The Human Resource Generalist (Training and Development) plans, develops, implements, and administers training programs for CCI employees. This position is responsible for development and integration of human resource and regulatory mandated training programs and associated projects to achieve strategic business goals and operational objectives. This position is also responsible for strengthening CCI’s brand by assisting in the fulfillment of the organization’s mission. They will assist with complex and specialized tasks, relating to the full talent lifecycle, including onboarding, generating reports, and off-boarding.
KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leads training initiatives - creates learning and Development programs, tools, and initiatives that provide internal development and training opportunities for employees related to onboarding, compliance, organizational growth, and best practices.
- Assist with the development, implementation, documentation, and administration of processes and procedures to ensure effective, efficient, and continuity of HR service delivery.
- Maintains employee training records, ensuring completion and accuracy in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Establishes an in-house employee training system that addresses organization training needs including training needs assessment, new employee orientation or on boarding, management development, production cross-training, the measurement of training impact, and training transfer.
- Maintains accurate records of all staff-related documentation.
- Performs administrative and recordkeeping tasks related to staffing changes, which will include onboarding, reboarding and offboarding.
- Plans and supports the dissemination, scheduling, validation, record keeping, validation, and reporting of information, as needed.
- Assist with NEO, open enrollment, HR-related projects, company and community events, training, and related communications.
- Supports and facilitates the training of management in HR best practices.
- Consult with management and other leadership to identify business processes.
- Identify and evaluate business initiatives to ascertain appropriate programs that meet CCI goals.
- Develop methods for data file formatting, data analysis methodologies, and management reporting.
- Identify data collection tools, data sources, benchmarks, and performance targets.
- Implement organizational effectiveness interventions.
- Develop team-building exercises and workshops.
- Confer with management to identify specific work situations requiring employees to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, and technologies.
- Develop methods of measuring if performance management aligns with organizational goals.
- Diagnose potential organizational problem areas, where training would be beneficial.
- Recommend Training and Development systems.
- Create definitions of desired individual or group performance as needed.
- Assists with audits and mandatory reporting.
- Working on-site is an essential duty for the job.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Spanish, a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with HRMS, Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- General understanding of related HR systems, processes, and employment laws – e.g., FMLA, ADA, unemployment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be flexible, adaptable, and a champion of change, when needed.
- Ability to prioritize and meet service delivery targets with a high and sometimes repetitive volume of work and competing priorities.
- Ability to persuade and influence, establish personal credibility and trust, and foster collaborative working relationships.
- Strong communication, listening, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Working on-site is an essential duty for the job.
- Bilingual a plus.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma. Associates or 4-year college degree preferred.
- A minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated knowledge of adult learning styles, participative training design, group dynamics, interactive learning methods, systems, theory and quality improvement processes, principles of customer service, presentation skills or project management.
- Or, an equivalent combination of post-high school education and seven (7) years of demonstrated knowledge of adult learning styles, participative training design, group dynamics, interactive learning methods, systems, theory and quality improvement processes, principles of customer service, presentation skills or project management.
- Three years of office experience, with at least two (2) years in Human Resources, preferably with an FQHC or nonprofit.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Prolonged periods of standing, bending or working at a desk on a computer.
- The ability to lift (up to 15lbs) is required.
